Our mission is to operate at best while respecting traditions and to transfer, as much as possible, the nature and identity of our territory from the vineyard to the bottle.
We age our wines mainly in large oval Swiss and Austrian oak barrels (mostly Stockinger), mechanically very hard woods that do not release intense scents and aromas (such as Vanilla, typical of other oak), allowing the wine a right macro-oxygenation and to be the real leading actor.
Produciamo “Lessona”, il vino offerto da Quintino Sella nel 1861 per il brindisi all’Unità d’Italia e il “Coste della Sesia”.
For our finest wines we expect at least three years of aging in wood, and after having bottled them we refine them at about nine meters below the ground level for at least another 3-5 years.
Although it is a small winery, Pietro divides the various "crus" as the French often do. We produce about ten labels for only 7 hectares and three cultivated varieties of vine: Nebbiolo, Vespolina and Erbaluce.
