Winery
Pietro Cassina personally leads, along with contributions from his wife and children, a small estate of about 7 hectares in Lessona, Alto Piemonte whose vineyards have belonged to his family for several generations.
Respect, Elegance and Ambition
The winery is located in Lessona, in the province of Biella, a village in the Northeast of Piedmont surrounded by hills and mountains, a short distance from Monte Rosa and Turin.
The property covers an area of about 7 hectares of vineyards, as well as several hectares of surrounding woods that create a special microclimate for the cultivation of Nebbiolo. The Lessona area is one of the few areas in Italy and in the world where this vine finds its ideal environment.
A sustainable approach
We are aware that we receive a most precious gift from the Earth, and for this reason we are committed to preserving and enhancing the natural resources present.
The three-level underground cellar, the Self Regulating Waterfall, Solar and Photovoltaic Panels, 0 Kilometres Barrels, the Experimental Vineyards and the Severina Nature Oasis are just a few examples that attest our utmost attention to reducing environmental impact, energy conservation and biodiversity.

We are in SuperVulcano area, also officially recognised by UNESCO, where the terroir is very particular with a highly acidic ph (3.5-3.7 pH). The abandinment of the Alto Piemonte vineyards at the beginning of the 20th Century meant that today’s 1300 or so hectares under vine are located in the best-exposed plots sorrounded by woods that create an ideal microclimate for the cultivation of local native vines. The Monte Rosa Massif protects us from winters that are too harsh and summers that are too sultry.
