nose:
VERY INTENSE NOTES, INTRODUCE FLORAL FLAVORS SUCH AS ROSE AND VIOLET, FOLLOWED BY RED FRUITS AND RIPENED TO BALANCED SPICES, SOFT FRAGRANCE.
mouth:
DRY WINE, WELL REFINED TANNINS, CHERRIES, BERRIES, SPICES.
Good structure, harmony, good smoothness and elegance typical of Nebbiolo wines from the Lessona area.

Characteristics of the vineyards: on the Cascina Chignalungo estate (Municipality of Lessona), facing southeast to southwest, 290 meters above sea level, average 5000 vines per hectare

Soil:coarse and heterometric gravelly-sandy fluvioglacial soils, deeply altered and partly loose, surmounted by loessic, silty-clayey summit levels. Acidic soils (pH 4.5-5.4) with orange, yellow and dark brown color. They are rich in minerals such as manganese and iron, which strongly affect the taste characteristics of the wine.

Harvest:careful and strict manual harvesting of the grapes in the vineyard ,in minute boxes of 7-9 kg capacity and subsequent further selection in the winery, with more thinning than for Coste Sesia Rosso (Cà dei Tass).

Vinification:after careful sorting on a vibrating table,destemming and soft crushing takes place,dropping the grapes into temperature-controlled steel tanks. Start of spontaneous fermentation , and maceration on the skins for 7-10 days at a maximum controlled temperature below 28° celsius,repeating about twice a day punching down and pumping over.

Aging:the wine is racked and matured in oval barrels of 15 Hl capacity (Austrian-Swiss oak ) , for at least 21 months. After ‘bottling, the right amount of time is allowed to elapse for final aging.
